35th Hörnitz Fair

Organized by all local clubs and the Protestant church. The fair celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2026 – also marking the 125th anniversary of the Hörnitz church. There will be an exhibition about the construction and history of the church with pictures from the archive.

Friday, 25.09.

• 7:00 PM – Fair kick-off with DJ Jacke and Björn Martin

• Cozy get-together by the Swedish fire

Saturday, 26.09.

• 9:00 AM – Young Poultry Show with raffle

• Food from the grill and the goulash cannon

• 1:00 PM – Opening by the pastor and mayor

• Varied entertainment program: cake wheel, flower wreath making, bouncy castle, eagle shooting, beer crate climbing, prize bowling, face painting, Anke's Sweet Corner, children's crossbow, bungee trampoline, pony rides, kindergarten craft street, singing bowl yurt, vegan goulash soup

• approx. 7:00 PM – Torchlight procession through Hörnitz with the Großschönau marching band

• 8:00 PM – Fair music with live band “Gellis” (Löbau), performance by the Funken, stick bread grilling, fireworks

Sunday, 27.09.

• 9:00 AM – Festive church service for the 125th anniversary of the Hörnitz church + exhibition

• 9:00 AM – Young Poultry Show with raffle

• 12:00 PM – Food from the grill and the goulash cannon

• 1:00 PM – Entertainment program as on Saturday, plus church tower tours and ceramic painting

• 1:30 PM – Bertelsdorfer Blasmusikanten

• 2:00 PM – Birthday coffee and cake provided by the parish with piano music

• 5:00 PM – Award ceremony and prize presentations

• 7:00 PM – Festive closing concert by the Collegium Musicum (70th anniversary) under the direction of Kantor Dette
