About this event

From 04.09.2026, Elena Barthel will be presenting an exhibition on the theme of "City, Country, Art" at the Christian-Weise-Bibliothek.

Born in Bulgaria, she has been interested in painting since early childhood. After graduating from high school, she wanted to study art in Dresden. However, the birth of her children changed everything, leading her from studying industrial engineering in Zittau to managing a furniture store in Olbersdorf / Zittau, and eventually moving to Berlin.

Her love for painting remained throughout her entire professional life. Now in retirement, Elena Barthel can once again dedicate herself intensively to painting.

The exhibition will be on view until 04.11.2026 during our opening hours.
