About this event
The acclaimed Czech alternative band, which has long appealed to new generations of listeners, in Turnov.
Bratři Orffové perform only sporadically, yet the audience's interest does not wane. Even more than a decade after the release of the album Šero, which won both an Anděl award and the Apollo music critics' award for best album of 2013, the band continues to find new listeners and their work resonates across generations. And perhaps new songs will even be added to their collection in 2026.
Bratři Orffové have been active since 2002. The band's name references the pioneers of Czechoslovak electronic music, the Orm brothers, as well as Orff instruments. The lineup has changed over the years; today it consists of singer and guitarist Ivan Gajdoš, guitarist Lukáš Novotný, trumpeter Libor Martiník, drummer Petr Odstrčil, bassist Břetislav Koláček, and keyboardist and synthesizer player Zdeněk Henych. The 2005 release of their debut Bingriwingri was hailed by the media as an event for the local alternative scene. In 2023, the label Minority Records reissued both of the band's records as remastered vinyl editions.
