Legendary comedy by author František Ringo Čech in a new production by the theater company Divadelní společnost Vojan z. s. Český Dub.
MAIDENS' WAR (DÍVČÍ VÁLKA) – The authors, producers, and actors involved state that Maidens' War is the most successful and frequently performed theatrical play in the Czech Republic. Its appeal lies primarily in the lightness of the genre, the hyperbole, the themes explored, and the cast.
The comedy was written by František Ringo Čech. He wrote it back in 1986, and since then, the comedy has been continuously performed, and audiences keep coming to see it.
"I wrote Maidens' War specifically for the Czech nation. It focuses primarily on the style of humor close to them and the areas it touches upon, such as eroticism and politics. Moreover, it is a relaxing genre, within which we bring a feast of the most beautiful women that our weary homeland possesses. The success of Maidens' War is evidenced by the filled halls across our entire republic," says the author of the zany comedy based on the ancient legend by Alois Jirásek.
