Flugge, Duo Jarés, Rafael Sampedro (Mandaujazz Double Concert and Vernissage)

Flugge is a trio from Nový Bor and tells intimate stories in a Nu Jazz style with their own songs, Czech lyrics, fine female vocals, keyboards and bass, combined with elements of soul and folk. The Duo Jarése stands for acoustic folk that touches and resonates. In a finely tuned melange of pop, soul and the spirit of the blues, songs are created with catchy melodies, charming vocals and profound lyrics.

Flugge is a trio from Nový Bor with a distinct musical signature. The band operates at the intersection of Nu Jazz, soul, folk and contemporary alternative music. Their songs combine Czech lyrics, a chamber-musical sound and a fine sense for atmosphere. Keyboards and bass guitar are complemented by gentle female vocals, while restrained downbeat rhythms allow melodies and the spaces between the individual notes to take effect. The music of Flugge unfolds its power quietly and unobtrusively. It is precisely this that draws the audience even more strongly into intimate stories and moods.

In May 2025, the band released their debut album "Nádech". On it, Flugge shows their own musical language and combines contemporary jazz with song-like forms, fine electronics and influences from soul and folk. Instead of instrumental virtuosity for its own sake, the band relies on sensitive interaction, naturalness and carefully constructed moods. This ability to create a chamber-musical sound space makes Flugge's concerts a special listening experience.

The Duo Jarése stands for acoustic folk that touches and resonates. In a finely tuned melange of pop, soul and the spirit of the blues, songs are created with catchy melodies, charming vocals and profound lyrics. Timeless and yet modern, Jarése reinterprets the genre and creates an intimate, atmospheric sound. As a duo, Jarése performs together with guitarist Dennis Becker (KEIMZEIT).

On their current album "Eleonore", rousing pop sounds combine with acoustic warmth. The sound is carried by singer, guitarist and violinist Juliane Liebing as well as by guitarist Richard Fuhrmann (FUHRMANN) or Albrecht Schumann (Trojka). Together, they bring the songs to life sensitively and harmoniously.

Before the concert begins, the exhibition "Emotionen im Mandaujazz" by Rafael Sampedro will open at Jolesch. Music moves people. It awakens memories, creates encounters and evokes emotions. It is precisely these special moments that photographer Rafael Sampedro captures with his camera. The exhibition displays 15 selected photographs from 2012 onwards and takes you on a journey through the fascinating universe of Mandaujazz. Experience the intensity of the concerts, the passion of the artists and the unique moments that have defined the festival for many years.

The exhibition can be seen at Jolesch, Klienebergerplatz 1, until mid-January 2027.

My fascination for photography began as a child, when I received an old analog camera from my grandfather. Since that moment, I have been telling stories with my photographs. Every photo is a memory, a vision of a moment in my life and of the people I photograph.

Specializing as a press and portrait photographer, I now use state-of-the-art technology. I continue to pursue analog photography with my photo lab, where I can experience the "magic" of photography.
