This exceptional woman refused to be a passive victim of her fate and instead began painting her own reality with a unique visual language. Her masterpieces, instantly recognizable, are beautiful, often filled with pain. At the age of eighteen, Frida almost lost her life when the bus she was taking home from school collided with a streetcar. The accident scarred her both physically and mentally, but also set her on an artistic path. Her life was short and tumultuous. The dance theater captures her turbulent existence, her passionate relationship with Diego Rivera, endless surgeries, and a burning desire for motherhood. For most, such a life would result in resignation, but Frida transformed her sorrows and joyful experiences into valuable and moving paintings that have become known worldwide. A musical collage connects the melancholy of the Spanish guitar with the wild rhythm of Latin America, giving the production a deep atmosphere full of unbridled passion and defiance. Just like her famous paintings, the dance reveals the story of a woman who turned her pain into an indomitable strength.
