A prestigious international dance competition founded in Egypt in 2024
Galaxy Dance Competition is an international dance event established in Egypt in 2024 by professional Egyptian organizers, and it is now expanding into Europe. The competition brings together talented dancers, prestigious dance schools, and renowned international judges to celebrate dance excellence.
The organizing team consists of Egyptians and expats from several different countries. The founder and promoter of the competition is Mr. Hazem Zakaria, director and choreographer of the Academia de danza On Stage based in Palma, Mallorca.
Our vision is to help this event grow and together make it one of the most significant dance gatherings in the region surrounding the Czech Republic.
We would like to open doors for dancers and dance schools from all over Europe to come to the Czech Republic and create an international platform where different countries can meet, share their art, and celebrate dance together.
We believe this event could become an exceptional cultural happening that connects Europe through dance.
This year's edition for the Czech Republic represents a new step in building a global platform connecting dancers from Europe, the Middle East, and other parts of the world.
Our mission is to create opportunities for young dancers through professional competitions, scholarships, and artistic exchange. Thanks to high-level organization, international judges, and participants from many countries, Galaxy Dance Competition strives to become one of the most influential dance events in the region.
The year 2026 brings a significant event and a great honor for the arts agency ILMA AGENCY s. r. o., under the leadership of Mgr. Ilona Šulcová. The agency is becoming the official organizer of the prestigious international dance competition GDC – GALAXY DANCE COMPETITION in the Czech Republic, thus taking on the honorable role of introducing it to the Czech dance scene.
