Heimsuchung – Eine Jahrhundertgeschichte

A house by a lake in the Mark Brandenburg region stands at the center of changing life stories. Over generations, it is inhabited by various residents whose fates are closely linked to the political and social upheavals of the 20th century. From the years of the Weimar Republic through the Nazi era to the war, the post-war years, and life in the GDR, the place reflects the hopes, fractures, and losses of its owners. The time of the Wende also leaves its mark, as everyone searches for home and belonging, which must be redefined again and again over the decades.
