Jazztrain and walk to the Křinice springs

Due to popular demand, the combined event "Jazztrain & Jazz walk" is back again this year, this time heading to the springs of the Křinice river! We will set off from Zittau accompanied by the music of the Adam Tvrdý Trio on a special excursion train T9 operated by trilex towards Mikulášovice. Guitarist Adam Tvrdý's trio blends jazz, blues, rock, and Latin music. Together with double bassist Petr Dvorský and drummer Jiří Stivín Jr., they create an unmistakable sound with a wide dynamic range and exciting genre-bending.

From the Krásná Lípa train station, an 11-kilometer hiking trail leads past the Křinice river springs near Studánka to the Pivovar Kocour brewery in Varnsdorf, where we will be welcomed by a band from the ZUŠ Varnsdorf art school. The concerts are free. Train tickets for the ZVON and DÚK transport associations are required for the train journey.

8:15 Meeting at Zittau train station at platform 1a.

8:34 Departure from Zittau station, platform 1a, on the T9 excursion train operated by trilex to Mikulášovice dolní nádraží

9:20 Arrival in Krásná Lípa – from here, a hike to the Křinice springs (3.5 km)

10:45 Break approx. 30 min.

11:15 Hike through Studánka, Frenzelsberg near Seifhennersdorf (break here), and Zlatý potok to Varnsdorf (7.5 km)

14:15 Stop at the Pivovar Kocour brewery with a jazz concert by the ZUŠ Varnsdorf band

17:36 Departure from the Varnsdorf – Pivovar Kocour stop via trilex line L7 towards Liberec

17:58 Arrival in Zittau

Important information:

The hike is moderately difficult, approximately 11 km long, and is not wheelchair accessible.

The D-Ticket is valid between Zittau and Varnsdorf. If you do not have a D-Ticket, we recommend using the Euro-Neiße (ENT) group ticket and arranging a ride on-site. The ENT ticket can be used for public transport throughout the entire ZVON region.

Please carry your ID and health insurance card with you on the day of the trip – this also applies to children.

Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash.

Boarding is possible at all stops on the T9 line.

You must provide your own refreshments and lunch for the journey.

Pivovar Kocour in Varnsdorf accepts both cash and card payments.

Shortcut: From Studánka, it is possible to return to Varnsdorf using bus lines 407 and 410 (ENT or DÚK tariff).

This is a group hiking event. We ask all participants to prepare accordingly, wear sturdy shoes, clothing suitable for the weather, and show consideration for others. We are setting out as a larger hiking group and will look out for each other. However, we ask that you follow the route and the listed points so that you can continue on your own if necessary.

As in previous years, we will be passing a hat for contributions on the train and at the Pivovar Kocour brewery while the artists are performing. We would be grateful for your generous support so that we can pay the musicians an appropriate fee.
