Kajto” is a musical group from the Dutch province of Friesland, performing acoustic folk music and balfolk in Esperanto, drawing from Frisian musical traditions linked to sea shanties, reels, and dances.
In 1988, the band Kajto began performing songs with lyrics in Esperanto. In the summer of 1989, during the World Esperanto Congress in Brighton, England, they presented the CD “Kajto”, which turned out to be the world’s first music release featuring songs in Esperanto.
Ankie and Nanne have been playing together since 1980. As a duo or members of other bands, they have recorded and released over forty albums. They regularly perform concerts in many countries, not only in Europe but also in North America, Australia, and Asia.
When it comes to lyrics, the band Kajto knows no borders. Ankie and Nanne draw upon nautical and historical themes, as well as humorous tales about everyday life. During their concerts, both announce and present their tracks in several languages, such as Esperanto, Dutch, Frisian, French, English, or German, playing the guitar, mandolin, ukulele, and accordion.

The concert will take place in Park Nadnyski, and in case of bad weather, in the MDK auditorium.
