As part of the Artweek Liberec festival, a guided tour with the curators and artists.

The exhibition
Severní vítr nese barvy
presents a cross-section of contemporary work across various media – from drawing and graphic art to objects, new technologies, and multimedia forms.
The selection of artists is linked by their work in Northern Bohemia, whether through their studies, professional background, or personal connection to the Liberec and Jablonec regions.
Represented are both established creators with a significant position on the Czech scene and emerging artists whose work brings new impulses and perspectives. The common thread of their work is their relationship to the region, which appears in their practice in various ways – from landscape and space to personal experience and everyday life.
The project is a loose continuation of the exhibition
Severní prostor. Prostor pro dialog
from 2023 and follows the program of the
Art Week Liberec
festival, whose long-term goal is to support the regional art scene.

Severní vítr nese barvy
presents contemporary art as a space of flow – of ideas, experiences, and visual languages that are constantly transforming and resettling in the landscape of Northern Bohemia. The curatorial concept is based on the metaphor of the northern wind as an invisible yet defining force.
