The return of a cult classic to cinemas.
Seven young people experience events over the course of a few days that will radically affect their future lives. Petr, a radio host at a small Prague station, is breaking up with his long-time girlfriend Hanka. She is pursued by the neurotic Dr. Ondřej, who has been stalking the girl with his intrusive attention for years. However, Ondřej's wife Lenka refuses to admit that the father of her children could betray their tidy, small-town life. The fates of both couples are intertwined with Vesna, a fragile Macedonian bartender searching for her lost father in the Czech Republic, Robert, a cynical manipulator, and Jakub, a devoted marijuana enthusiast. The contrast to the lives of these lonely young people, who are more or less unsuccessfully trying to figure themselves out, is provided by Hanka's settled parents and a group of Japanese tourists eager to get to know a "typical" Czech family... The authors tell the stories of loners in the midst of a crowd, who feel helplessly dragged along by malicious fate within their economically comfortable lives, in a tragicomic tone.
