Join us on a journey into the Indian jungle and experience the adventure of the boy Mowgli, the wolf pack led by the solitary Akela, and the cruel tiger Shere Khan. Based on the book The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling, the 1907 Nobel Prize laureate in Literature. The book of adventure stories and novellas was published in 1894 under the title The Jungle Book, followed a year later by a second volume titled The Second Jungle Book. Our dance performance will take you into the world of animal speech and the functioning of a wolf pack, whose daily life is fundamentally changed by the arrival of a small Indian boy. The unique atmosphere of the performance is enhanced by music from the prominent Czech composer and musicologist Aleš Březina.
