An enjoyable little travel game awaits passengers on the Art Bus on August 16: The first Lusatian Metronome Derby (inspired by György Ligeti). The game equipment consists of a handful of mechanical metronomes ticking at different speeds. As in Ligeti's "Poème Symphonique" (1962), a piece of mechanical music for 100 metronomes that will be experienced at several locations as part of the Lausitz Festival, the question arises: whose metronome ticks the longest? No prior knowledge is needed for the game, just a bit of skill. Join the excitement! Tick along!! (Small) prizes await!!!

Michael Höppner, Chief Dramaturge of the Theater of the Lausitz Festival and moderator of the game on the Art Bus, on the tough rules of the game: »Three to five metronomes will be given to volunteers among the passengers. The participants start simultaneously. Whoever's device ticks the longest wins. Passengers who are not playing can bet on the metronomes. Derby and betting winners receive a small prize donated by the Lausitz Festival.«

There is one game per scheduled trip on August 15/16 on the route through West Lusatia around Pulsnitz. Since the tour passes by one of this year's festival venues, Michael Höppner will also talk about the production that can be experienced there, as well as other festival highlights. Enjoy!
