On August 19, 2026, things will get musical in Kamenz after dark: As part of the 9th edition of the Six Towns League festival "Kommen und Gehen", which presents a total of eleven events in Upper Lusatia from August 12 to 23, 2026, under the motto "Center Point", the festival is also making a stop in the Lessing town. The musical night walk "In Kamenz' dunklen Gassen" starts at 9:00 PM at the Museum der Westlausitz. During an atmospheric stroll through the old town in the evening, music and historic ambiance combine to create a special experience.
Following this, at 11:00 PM, the night concert "Metamorphosen – Delight and Melancholy" will take place at the Alte Baderei Kamenz. The occasion is the 400th anniversary of the death of the English Renaissance composer John Dowland: original compositions and modern arrangements with the Trio sprezzatura 22 will transport the audience into the resonant melancholy of his music.
