Seven young musicians, a powerful brass section, and a rhythm section that won't let the audience stand still. Pondělí 18:00 brings an original instrumental project inspired by bands like Lucky Chops or MEUTE. They transform their own compositions and unexpected arrangements of well-known hits into a concert full of energy, brass virtuosity, and infectious groove.
Pondělí 18:00 represents a new generation of Czech instrumental bands that effortlessly connect the energy of brass music with a modern groove. The seven-piece group was formed from the friendship of young musicians who met at art school, in rehearsal rooms, and at concerts. The first impulse was born at the high school prom of two founding members, but the band only took its true form a few years later.
The music of Pondělí 18:00 stands on a four-piece brass section supported by a precise and energetic rhythm section. Alongside their own compositions, the band also plays original instrumental arrangements of well-known songs. They are primarily inspired by the American band Lucky Chops and the German band MEUTE, whose concert energy, street spontaneity, and emphasis on rhythm they have managed to translate into their own distinctive sound. The result is music that combines jazz musical certainty with pop catchiness, funk drive, and concert spontaneity. The audience can look forward to an evening full of strong brass riffs, infectious groove, and the joy of purely instrumental music.
