Premiere of the book by Mariusz Gładzik “Miłość, wszechświat i stary zegar”

There are moments that pass forever. There is time that does not ask for our permission to pass. And there is an old clock that has been observing human fates for over a hundred years…

Join us on September 24 at 6:00 PM at the Krasicki Hotel Resort & SPA for the premiere of the latest book by Mariusz Gładzik “Miłość, wszechświat i stary zegar” (Love, the Universe and the Old Clock).

It is a moving collection of short stories about transience, coincidence, and tenderness. About how even in an indifferent universe, one moment of closeness can mean more than whole years. The protagonist, and at the same time a silent witness to history, is a richly decorated cuckoo clock that has passed from hand to hand for over a century, changing owners, homes, and countries.

Its journey begins in the 1920s – from the Black Forest and Volhynia - and leads among others through post-war villages and towns of the Jizera Mountains, the times of the PRL and great changes, all the way to the 21st century and the year 2030. Each owner leaves a part of themselves in the clock.

We are all the more pleased that this will already be the THIRD premiere of a book by Mariusz Gładzik organized in our hotel! We really like such traditions and we hope that we will continue them together.

The meeting with the author will be hosted by Rafał Wróblewski. There will of course be time to talk about the book, its characters, inspirations, and the stories hidden behind the old clock.
