FYTEX day camp focused on physics, technology, and experimentation for children aged 9–13.
The 7th year of this successful summer day camp for children aged 9–13, focused on experimenting and discovering the laws of physics and technology.
Who is the camp for:
For applicants aged 9–13, creative, motivated, and active children interested in natural sciences, especially physics and technology, who can leave their mobile phones in their backpacks and want to develop their own thinking and intuition through inquiry-based learning.
Where the camp will take place:
In a safe environment
at ZŠ Pivovarská in Jablonec n. N.
and the adjacent sports field. In a classroom with top-tier modern equipment. Children
will have access to a sufficient number of work kits for individual
work and small-group work, where they can practice team
collaboration.
How we work:
We foster self-confidence, technical independence, experimental courage, and an active inquiry-based approach. We approach the children individually and support their talents. That is why we also have assistants who advise and help those who might not dare to try an experiment alone or who need an “extra pair of
hands”.
The camp will help children in discovering and verifying their own
abilities and in orienting themselves toward future studies and careers.
IMPORTANT:
THE PROGRAM IS INDICATIVE. We adapt it
to the participants. Children can attend the camp repeatedly and will always have something to do,
because they can always try more demanding things. We regularly innovate the program.
What will happen at the camp:
We will work in smaller groups. Some
activities will be done individually. Each day, children will also spend time relaxing outdoors and
will stretch their legs during interesting sports and physics activities.
We will work according to a pre-prepared and tested program, but also improvise according to the situation, individual possibilities and abilities of the children, and their interests.
