About this event
A tribute to Tommy Emmanuel and the art of fingerstyle
Görlitz native Richard Fuhrmann has been touring as an acoustic and electric guitarist for over a decade. In his hometown, he has become known, among other things, for the concert series “Richard Fuhrmann and Friends” at the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz.
On September 11th, Fuhrmann returns to his musical roots, dedicating the evening to instrumental guitar music. As a tribute to the formative first steps of his musical career, he will perform pieces by his great idol Tommy Emmanuel as well as works by other fingerstyle heroes. The program is rounded off by his own instrumental compositions, which have been part of his repertoire for many years.
While Richard Fuhrmann has been best known in recent years for his project “FUHRMANN” and his German-language songs, this evening consciously focuses on instrumental music. The audience can expect a personal concert full of virtuosity, tonal colors, and musical stories – told solely through a guitar.
