About this event
Rozálie is one of the most distinctive personalities on the young Czech singer-songwriter scene. In her own songs, she combines chanson, cabaret, folk, and elements of circus theater. With her unmistakable voice and quirky humor, she crafts a concert that alternates between raw emotions, irony, and disarming exaggeration. Her "Malá velká kapela" (Small Big Band) gives the songs energy and color without them losing their immediacy and personal message.
Rozálie is a singer, accordionist, composer, lyricist, and performer who has developed into one of the most original personalities on the Czech music scene in just a few years. In her work, she combines chanson, cabaret, folk, and theatrical poetry, creating a world of her own where raw life stories naturally alternate with irony, dark humor, and delicate romance. On stage, she is just as convincing as a musician as she is as a storyteller.
Her debut album "Korzetiér" earned her a nomination for the Ceny Anděl music award in the "Newcomer of the Year" category, followed by a nomination for the "Český slavík" and numerous enthusiastic reviews highlighting her individual signature style and extraordinary concert energy. In addition to music, she has long been dedicated to contemporary circus, which is reflected in her striking stage presence. Every concert is an original connection of songs, stories, and direct contact with the audience.
At the Mandava Jazz festival, Rozálie will perform with her Malá velká kapela. Her own songs gain new energy and vibrancy in richer arrangements, without losing their directness and personal message. The audience can expect a concert that combines chanson, cabaret, and contemporary music with an expressive stage performance and infectious concert energy.
