A visit to the city of Görlitz is especially worthwhile during the Advent season. The Christmas lights transform the Old Town and the streets of the city center into a romantic fairytale town. In a festive atmosphere, merchants, restaurateurs, and artisans present their goods and specialties from Silesia, Saxony, and Bohemia. Christmas music, choirs, and ensembles from Görlitz will put you in the Christmas spirit.
Every day, the Görlitz Christkind visits the market and hands out small gifts to young and old. The lively marketplace offers visitors many attractions: traditional Christmas singing and a rich children's program prepared by kindergartens and schools from Görlitz and Zgorzelec.
