About this event

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky

"Swan Lake", the first ballet composition by Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky from the years 1875-77, is considered by ballet audiences and music lovers all over the world as the greatest and, not without reason, the most popular and most frequently performed classical-romantic fairy-tale ballet in the international ballet repertoire.

As the famous ballerina Galina Ulanova noted, it is "the most beautiful ballet one can imagine". The worldwide success of SWAN LAKE is based not only on Tchaikovsky's catchy and stirring music, but also on the now world-famous choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov from the 1895 St. Petersburg model production.

Just as CARMEN is the most performed opera in the international opera repertoire, "SWAN LAKE" is the most performed ballet of all ballets in classical ballet ensembles.
The dance ensemble remains true to this ballet tradition while creating a production that always keeps a modern perspective on classical ballet art in mind.

The high art of dance, integrated into the romantic love story, creates a fairy tale for the whole family and seduces the viewer into a world of dreams and reality. The top-class ballet art is just as inspiring as the fantastic ensemble pieces featuring over 30 dancers in dreamlike costumes.
