About this event

Off to Sweden! A trip to this magnificent country is twice as much fun if you understand some Swedish. For those who don't want to commit to a full course just yet, this is a chance to get a taste, try it out, and get in the mood for the country and its people. Basic greetings, introductions, small talk... rounded off with cultural and travel tips. An offering for the curious and those who haven't decided (yet).

Sweden is one of the largest countries in Europe and displays considerable regional differences in terms of nature and climate. The unmistakable blue and yellow flag is one of the national symbols that reflect the country's centuries-old history and relationship with its Nordic neighbors. Sweden is committed to democratic values and has not experienced a war in 200 years. Protecting diversity and nature is as natural to the Swedes as tax-funded welfare and education for all. The speaker lived in Sweden and Finland for a long time, has spent several years studying Swedish language and culture academically, and shares his fascination and knowledge about the culture, traditions, and language of Sweden with you. We invite you to approach the country and its people in an entertaining and varied way: with samples of the Swedish language and Christmas-themed taste inspirations!

Please note that 10.00 EUR must be paid to the instructor on-site for the sample buffet. You are obligated to pay this even if you do not attend the event after registering.
