Staying independent with smart tech: Digital solutions for everyday life

Technology that helps – Digital assistants for seniors. Voice assistants, automated lighting, smart doorbells, or fall detection – modern technologies offer more and more ways to make everyday life safer and more independent. In this lecture, you will learn which digital helpers are currently available for older people, how they work, and what they can do. You will have the opportunity to discover and try out modern technologies at your own pace and without any pressure. We will provide insights into the Active-Assisted-Living Lab at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, which researches how intelligent technology can support independent living in old age. No prior knowledge is required – just curiosity!
