Staying independent with smart technology: Digital solutions for everyday life
About this event
Technology that helps – Digital assistants for seniors. Voice assistants, automated lighting, smart doorbells, or fall detection – modern technologies offer more and more ways to make everyday life safer and more independent. In this lecture, you will learn which digital helpers are available for older people today, how they work, and what they can do. You will have the opportunity to get to know and try out modern technologies without any pressure and at your own pace. We will provide insights into the Active Assisted Living Lab at the Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz, which researches how intelligent technology can support independent living in old age. No prior knowledge is necessary – curiosity is enough!
This measure is co-financed by tax funds based on the budget decided by the members of the Saxon State Parliament.
