SNOW FILM FEST
About this event
A travel festival with a winter outdoor theme
The legendary festival of films about winter sports and mountain adventures is heading to the R.A.M. – Rampa Art Movements club again this year!
SNOW FILM FEST brings you the very best in extreme skiing, freeriding, winter climbing and snowboarding from around the world, as well as local productions. The festival was founded in 2011 and has since expanded to more than 150 towns and cities across the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where it is enjoyed by some 25,000 viewers every year.
You can look forward to six main films: the De Le Rue family’s breathtaking expedition to Antarctica (Once in a Lifetime), the first-ever solo winter ascent of Denali (Minus 103 Degrees), a personal portrait of freeride star Victor de Le Rue (Cool Head and Heart), a humorous look at the world of freeriding in the Austrian Alps (Hungry Gravity), the story of the people of Ladakh battling glacial retreat (Ice Builders) and surfers on the frozen rivers of Alberta, Canada (Ice Fools). Come and join us to experience the atmosphere of the mountains, the adrenaline and the human stories right in the heart of Jablonec nad Nisou.
