St. JOHNNY brings an honest dose of rock'n'roll, boogie, and blues inspired by American roads and clubs alike. Raw vocals, a distinct guitar, and tireless rhythm create a concert full of energy, original songs, and musical joy. Music that doesn't try to be retro – it simply lives in the here and now.

St. JOHNNY was formed in 2005, inspired by the travels of singer, guitarist, and songwriter Jan Stehlík across the United States. It was there that he found the music that became the foundation of the band's distinctive style – a raw fusion of rock'n'roll, boogie, and blues, built primarily on their own original work. Their songs draw from everyday life stories and combine catchy melodies with uncompromising concert energy.

Over twenty years, St. JOHNNY has performed at dozens of festivals and club venues in the Czech Republic and abroad. They have shared the stage with the legendary British band Nazareth and significant blues figures such as Charlie Musselwhite or Ana Popović. Their concerts have been heard in Germany, Poland, Serbia, Croatia, Slovakia, and Austria, and in 2017 they released their debut album, Rollin' & Ridin'.

For the Mandava Jazz festival, they are bringing music that draws from American blues roots but sounds completely contemporary. Raw vocals, electric guitar, solid rhythm, and direct contact with the audience promise a concert that won't let listeners sit still for long.
