About this event
Utility glass and costume jewellery on the Czech market from the last three years.
The main exhibition of the International Triennial of Glass and Costume Jewellery Jablonec 2026 presents in one place current products from domestic and foreign companies, represented by a branch or agent in the Czech Republic, dedicated to manual and automatic production. This is not a presentation of solitaires or prototypes, but a real commercial offer from the last three years. While the selection of presenters is the work of curators, the exhibitors themselves choose the products that represent them in the categories TRENDY, DESIGN, and PRODUCTION. While the first is focused on the assortment in line with current design or consumer trends, the second on production with high added aesthetic value, and the third is dedicated to commercially successful goods. An international expert committee, composed of renowned theorists and practitioners, awarded the best collections. The purpose of this concept is to offer visitors an alternative to design shows that present only a small, albeit important, part of contemporary Czech glassmaking from a commercial and export perspective. The best products were awarded medals by a five-member international committee composed of experts from the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Spain, and Slovakia, and were made for the museum by the Jablonec Higher School of Applied Arts. Museum visitors will also award their own prize and can vote throughout the duration of the exhibition until September 20, 2026.
