The exhibition
The North Wind Carries Colors
presents a cross-section of contemporary work across various media – from drawing and graphics to objects, new technologies, and multimedia forms.
The selection of artists is linked by their work in Northern Bohemia, whether through studies, professional background, or a personal relationship with the Liberec and Jablonec regions.
Included are both established creators with a significant position on the Czech scene and emerging artists whose work brings new impulses and perspectives. A common point of their work is a relationship to the region, which appears in their work in various ways – from landscape and space to personal experience and everyday life.
The project is a loose continuation of the exhibition
Northern Space. Space for Dialogue
from 2023 and builds on the program of the
Art Week Liberec
festival, whose long-term goal is to support the art scene in the region.

The North Wind Carries Colors
presents contemporary art as a space of flow – of ideas, experiences, and visual languages that are constantly changing and re-settling in the landscape of Northern Bohemia. The curatorial concept is based on the metaphor of the north wind as an invisible yet defining force.
