Exhibition: Oli Staňková

Ulička řemesel in Turnov invites you from October 2 to 30, 2026, to an exhibition by glass artist Oli Staňková, marking her first solo presentation of her work in the Czech Republic.

A Turnov native, she combines traditional Czech glassmaking craftsmanship with an original artistic approach. Her signature layered sgraffito technique involves applying multiple layers of colors, silver, and 24-karat gold onto glass, which she then manually reveals using porcupine quills. This process results in exceptionally detailed images with striking depth and unique design.

Oli Staňková's work has also been influenced by her many years of experience in the Republic of South Africa and Canada, as well as collaborations with prominent glass brands. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the Karel Rybáček Main Prize and recognition in the Craft and Art in Glass competition.

The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to discover the work of an artist who, after years of working abroad, is symbolically returning to her hometown of Turnov, where she creates once again today.
