About this event

Exhibition from Crystal Valley heads to Belgrade

Glass, costume jewelry, and jewelry from the north of Bohemia will be presented in Belgrade with the exhibition The Eighth Wonder of the World, which will introduce visitors to the unique story of Crystal Valley.

Human creativity, skill, and courage have accompanied glassmaking for centuries. It is thanks to these qualities that an extraordinary concentration of glassmakers, jewelers, designers, schools, and companies emerged in Northern Bohemia, which today forms a phenomenon known as Crystal Valley. A tradition reaching deep into history naturally intertwines here with modern design, innovation, and the latest technologies.

The Eighth Wonder of the World exhibition will present Crystal Valley as a living and dynamic region where top-tier artistic and utility glass, costume jewelry, and jewelry appreciated all over the world are born. Visitors will get to know the mastery of handmade glass production, which was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2023.

The exhibition in Belgrade will offer a glimpse into the exceptional combination of tradition, craftsmanship, and creativity that has shaped the identity of Northern Bohemia for generations and makes Crystal Valley one of the most important glassmaking regions in the world.
