The exhibition
The North Wind Carries Colors
presents a cross-section of contemporary work across various media – from drawing and graphics to objects, as well as new technologies and multimedia forms.
The selection of artists is linked by their activities in Northern Bohemia, whether through their studies, professional background, or personal connection to the Liberec and Jablonec regions.
Represented are both established creators with a significant position on the Czech scene, as well as emerging artists whose work brings new impulses and perspectives. A common point in their work is their relationship to the region, which appears in their work in various ways – from landscape and space to personal experience and everyday life.
The project is a loose continuation of the exhibition
Northern Space. Space for Dialogue
from 2023 and builds on the program of the festival
Art Week Liberec
, whose long-term goal is to support the art scene in the region.

The North Wind Carries Colors
presents contemporary art as a space of flow – of ideas, experiences, and visual languages that are constantly transforming and resettling in the landscape of Northern Bohemia. The curatorial concept is based on the metaphor of the north wind as an invisible yet defining force.
