XTERRA O-SEE Challenge

What began in 2000 as a spontaneous bet has developed over the years into one of the most significant cross-triathlon events in Europe. Back then, five friends jumped into the Olbersdorfer See – unknowingly laying the foundation for today's XTERRA O-SEE Challenge.

The O-SEE Challenge is a traditional international cross-triathlon in the Zittauer Gebirge Nature Park and at the Olbersdorfer See (O-SEE) with numerous individual competitions and categories. The "O-SEE" is part of the global XTERRA series and is one of its highlights in Europe. The O-SEE Challenge has hosted European and national championships multiple times. In 2014, the ITU Cross Triathlon World Championships took place as part of the O-SEE Challenge.

The event is framed by a rich supporting program at the event area at Olbersdorfer See. A highlight is the O-SEE Open Air on Saturday evening after the main competition day, when the competition area transforms into an atmospheric festival location.
