Daniel missed the mark. He wanted to go out with a bang, but instead he's in a psychiatric ward and can't leave. He was once on top of the world – the Olympic Stadium, 10,000 lighters in the evening breeze, everyone singing his song. Now he's at rock bottom – not even the jungle camp wants him anymore. The only thing he has left is that damned song, the one he owes everything to and the one that simultaneously took everything from him. Dr. Lissi Waldstett researches happiness. Or rather, she only researches when she's not busy emptying bedpans in the psychiatric ward. Because her research topic won't make you rich – happiness isn't covered by health insurance. She needs a gimmick, something to grab attention. When Daniel wakes up in her ward, Lissi sees her opportunity and makes him a dubious offer: she'll help him if he helps her. All he has to do is help her make a group of lonely people happy. By singing, of all things. And so Daniel and Lissi unexpectedly stumble into an adventure. Each thinks he has the other under his thumb. They become entangled, blackmail each other, lose themselves in the group of lovable outsiders, and... well... somehow they all sing for their lives.
