Bürgstein Castle - Einsiedlerstein

This picturesque village of Sloup in the Lusatian Mountains is known for its sandstone formations and the dramatic Sloup Rock Castle. With its hidden caves, steep staircases, and scenic viewpoints, this area is a fantastic destination for a day out. After all, Sloup Rock Castle is one of the best-known sandstone castles in North Bohemia.

The rooms, corridors, and stairs in the castle are carved directly into the rock face and were used from medieval times to the days of the hermits. Outside, the surrounding trails wind through a labyrinth of rocks, caves, and viewpoints.
