About this venue
Panská Skála near Kamenický Šenov is one of the most striking basalt formations in Northern Bohemia. The five- and six-sided columns were formed millions of years ago by the slow cooling of magma, and the tiny pond that sits beneath the rocky "Organ Pipes" reflects them beautifully, particularly in the morning and evening light. A short climb takes you to a plateau, with views of the surrounding area.
Distance: a very short walk, around 0.5–1 km
Main highlights: basalt columns (known as The Organ Pipes), reflections in the pond, geological rarity
Ideal for: photographers, geology lovers, short outings
Location: Kamenický Šenov (CZ), Lusatian Mountains
