Naděje Ice Cave

Known to locals since time immemorial as the Ice Hole, Naděje Cave was for many years a valuable source of ice. The cave opened to tourists in the 19th century, when a narrow, winding path was also carved down into the valley. Visitors initially climbed down into the icy shaft using the branches of a tree trunk, later by ladder.
