Singltrek pod Smrkem

Singltrek pod Smrkem in the Jizera Mountains is an internationally renowned destination among mountain bike enthusiasts and ranks as one of the top cycling destinations in the Czech Republic. It offers three trailhead entry points with complete facilities, bike rentals, service stations, and refreshment stands. Families with children will particularly appreciate the Singltrek Centrum located next to the natural swimming pool in Nové Město pod Smrkem, thanks to the small playground and the perfect opportunity to cool off after a ride.

Nástupní (Trailhead Loop)

• Difficulty: Green

• Length: 1,800 m

• Extra: A two-way trail perfect for beginners and children, with a sweet, flowing rhythm on the way back.

Hřebenáč

• Difficulty: Blue

• Length: 9,800 m

• Extra: This trail loops around Andělská Hora and follows the Jindřichovice Ridge through deciduous and coniferous forests, crossing wooden bridges and gneiss boulders.

Obora

• Difficulty: Red

• Length: 6,800 m

• Extra: Linking up with Hřebenáč, it features the fan-favorite "Dafydd’s Joy" descent and a winding switchback climb. Together, these trails make for a great full-length ride.

Rapický okruh (Rapice Loop)

• Difficulty: Red

• Length: 3,600 m

• Extra: Serving as the "roundabout" of the Singltrek network, this loop combines a switchback climb on the Polish side with a dynamic descent and a rolling traverse back on the Czech side.

Asfaltový traverz (Asphalt Traverse)

• Difficulty: Red

• Length: 3,300 m

• Extra: Composed of three asphalt forest-road sections, this part features the longest and most demanding climb on Singltrek, which is amply rewarded by fantastic descents.

Libverdská strana (Libverda Side)

• Difficulty: Red

• Length: 7,400 m

• Extra: Boasting a truly long, dynamic descent considered by many to be the absolute highlight of Singltrek, it also offers beautiful views over the Frýdlant Hook region.

Ludvíkovský traverz (Ludvíkov Traverse)

• Difficulty: Red

• Length: 4,300 m

• Extra: Running from the outskirts of Lázně Libverda, it takes you up a pleasant climb before leading into the unforgettable Bystrá Voda descent down into the deep valley of Ztracený potok (Lost Creek).

Novoměstská strana (Nové Město Side)

• Difficulty: Red

• Length: 3,000 m

• Extra: Connects the fast descent above Kyselka with the "Nad Liščí farmou" (Above the Fox Farm) traverse, leading you right back to the Singltrek Centrum.

Okolo Měděnce (Around Měděnec)

• Difficulty: Black

• Length: 7,100 m

• Extra: Tracing the slopes of a former mining hill, this trail takes you through a fast descent, the mystical Weichicht forest, and the Silbergündl ravine, a site rich with silver mining history.

Hejnický hřeben (Hejnice Ridge)

• Difficulty: Black

• Length: 11,800 m

• Extra: A dramatic loop that runs along cliffs in rugged, rocky terrain. The truly challenging climb is rewarded with unforgettable descents.
