Behind everything is a source, behind that another and another, and finally the most elemental one.

The granary is built of wood, stone, brick, water, iron, and glass. Behind the wood is a tree; behind the tree is soil, moisture, sun. Behind the stone is a rock, a mountain, a mountain range, the earth, the universe. Behind the brick is clay, heat, air. Behind the water is a spring, rain, river, sea. Behind the iron is ore, coal, fire. Behind the glass is sand, heat, light. Behind everything is a process of creation and transformation.

In the house, materials intertwine with nature on one side and with human hands and thoughts on the other.

The granary is also a space. On an elemental level, it is formed by matter and void, and the basic phenomena binding them, such as light and darkness. In addition to materials, the space is also formed by human thought, reflecting the culture of the given era.

And it is precisely these connections that become the starting point for the exhibition at Sýpka Lemberk. The fundamental perspective of both artists is the search for harmony and the journey toward the origin of things.

The installations and artifacts by Lada Semecká reference the Japanese understanding of the importance of processes, time, and elemental sources, inspiring one to perceive their most subtle manifestations. Petr Lada conducts a dialogue within the exhibition with the thoughts, materials, and space of the granary, which does not deny the monumentality and symbolism of the Baroque.
