The Municipal House of Culture in Lubań invites folk ensembles, bands, choirs, soloists, and all lovers of Polish folk culture to take part in a unique event taking place on August 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Market Square in Lubań.
The "FolkArt 2026" festival will be an opportunity to showcase artistic achievements, cultivate traditions, and celebrate folklore, music, and regional flavors together.
The program includes competitions in three categories:
Folk music,
culinary competition: Gołąbki (cabbage rolls),
wreath competition inspired by Polish folk culture.
In the musical part, participants will present their own arrangement of the song "Przepióreczka" from the repertoire of the State Folk Song and Dance Ensemble "Mazowsze" as well as additional folk songs. The jury will award a Grand Prix for the best performance of the competition song, and the audience will select the winner of a special award for the overall artistic performance.
Participants will also be able to prepare their own exhibition stands and sell their products.
