Frekvence

A solo production by acrobat and performer Alžběta (Bětka) Tichá, which combines contemporary circus, physical theatre, and technology. Frekvence touches on the body's physical reactions and the emotions that respond to external and internal stimuli. What happens when we feel nothing at all? When everything is frozen and emotions disappear? And what about the opposite, when we go through an extreme physical and emotional rollercoaster and have no idea where we will end up? Is there a difference between what we see and what is actually happening inside our body? Bětka Tichá uses technology to monitor bodily functions – measuring her heart rate directly during the performance on the ground, as well as during aerial acrobatics. Data obtained from her body connects in real-time with sound and lights, which react to her physical and mental state. The entire production is thus fully synchronized with her body.
