THE GEOLOGICAL HISTORY OF THE BORDERLAND COMES ALIVE

We invite you on a Polish-German coach geological excursion, during which we will discover the geological history of Upper Lusatia and the heritage of quarries on both sides of the border.

Where millions of years ago fire and lava shaped the landscape, today we can observe the traces of geological processes and human activity. During the trip, we will visit the active basalt quarry in Gronów/Gruna and the Regional Museum in Lubań/Lauban with the Bracka Tower.

Together, we will take a closer look at the region's geology, the history of basalt mining, and how quarries have influenced the landscape and the lives of the inhabitants of Upper Lusatia for generations.
