Iva Bittová is one of the most distinctive figures in Czech music. Over the decades, this singer, violinist, and composer has created an entirely unique musical language that connects
Moravian folklore, classical music, jazz, and free improvisation. Thanks to her originality, she has performed at the world's most significant festivals and collaborated with a number of leading European and American musicians. Her work defies standard genre categories and is highly acclaimed both at home and abroad. She will perform at the Mandava Jazz festival together with Duo Jedlinský–Fischer. This chamber collaboration is built on the dialogue between three distinctive musical personalities who give equal space to spontaneous improvisation and carefully constructed musical structures. Delicate interplay, a feel for detail, and the courage to venture in unexpected directions during the concert create an inimitable atmosphere in which folk inspiration, jazz freedom, and chamber music culture naturally intermingle. The result is a concert that relies not on ostentation, but on an intense shared experience – music created right here and now, in direct contact between the performers and the audience.
