Gedenkstätte Großschweidnitz - Public Guided Tour
About this event
The Gedenkstätte Großschweidnitz commemorates the more than 5,500 people who became victims of Nazi medical murders at the Großschweidnitz state institution between 1939 and 1945. A permanent exhibition provides visitors with comprehensive information about the background, implementation, and aftermath of these crimes.
On the 1st Sunday of every month at 2 p.m., the memorial offers a free public guided tour of the exhibition and the cemetery. No registration is required.
The memorial is located at Friedhofsweg 1, 02708 Großschweidnitz. It is open Mondays to Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. For questions, you can reach the facility at 03585 – 2113511 or by e-mail at grossschweidnitz@stsg.de.
