About this event
Rozálie is a singer, accordionist, composer, songwriter, and performer who has grown over the past few years into one of the most original personalities on the Czech music scene. Her work combines chanson, cabaret, folk, and theatrical poetics, creating a distinct world where raw life stories naturally alternate with irony, dark humor, and tender romance. On stage, she is equally convincing as a musician and as a storyteller. Her debut album, Korzetiér, earned her a nomination for the Anděl Award in the Discovery of the Year category, followed by a nomination for the Český slavík and numerous enthusiastic reviews that highlighted her distinctive authorial style and extraordinary concert energy. In addition to music, she has long been dedicated to the new circus, which is reflected in her expressive stage presence. Each concert is an original blend of songs, stories, and direct contact with the audience. Rozálie will arrive at the Mandava Jazz festival with her Malá velká kapela (Small Big Band). Her original songs gain new energy and color in these richer arrangements without losing their immediacy and personal testimony. The audience can look forward to a concert that combines chanson, cabaret, and contemporary original music with striking stage expression and infectious concert energy.
