Three artists. Three different styles. Three separate paths, unfolding throughout the year in the silence of their workshops, within the possibilities of different clays, the capabilities of their hands, and their own visions.

Each creates alone, each seeks their own form, surface, and expression. Yet, something unites them – the moment of a joint firing.

The meeting place for these three ceramicists is ANAGAMA – a kiln that is not merely a place where a technological process takes place, but an event. A space where individual work becomes a shared goal. Where days of preparation, loading, lighting the fire, stoking, and keeping vigil by the flames create not only the resulting ceramics but also a shared experience, trust, and respect for an element that cannot be fully controlled.

Wood, flame, ash, and time are not just mere means. They are co-authors. Each firing is unique. The fire imprints its own design onto the surface of the vessels, ash turns into natural glazes, and the temperature and flow of the flame leave marks that cannot be planned, only accepted.

This exhibition presents three artistic approaches to wood-fired ceramics that do not seek to merge, but to exist side by side – independently, yet still in mutual dialogue. It shows individual work that is enhanced by the power of a shared ritual, which culminates at the same fire.
