About this event
U3V Introductory Session.
The Early Renaissance brought a new way of thinking to European art, based on an interest in humanity, harmony, beauty, and discovering the world.
The discovery of perspective, an emphasis on the realistic depiction of the human body, and a return to the ideals of antiquity all played a significant role. The course will introduce the figures who stood at the birth of this significant era, and whose work fundamentally influenced the development of architecture, painting, and sculpture. Participants will learn about their life stories, their most significant works, and the bold ideas that transformed the face of European art. According to the schedule, the introductory session will begin at 12:00 to allow sufficient time for administrative matters, specifically registration and tuition fees. All subsequent sessions will begin at 12:30. Course fee: 400 CZK.
