The exhibition Noise presents the work of Alena Anderlová as a painterly space where the human figure, landscape, and animal motifs intertwine into one sensitively constructed visual world. The title of the exhibition refers not only to the environment of the Šumava region, where a substantial part of the presented works was created in the artist's studio, but also to the very principle of her creative process – to the subtle flow of images, memories, and minor events that often take place outside the main stream of our attention. In her paintings, Anderlová has long worked with the tension between the specific and the indefinite. Her painting is not based on description, but on the layering of moods, associations, and internal images. The figurative motifs are not classic portraits, just as the landscape is not merely a capture of a place. They are, rather, bearers of a certain state – a suspended moment in which reality gently shifts towards imagination. In this context, the Šumava landscape is not just the place where the exhibited works were created, but a certain mental space. The forest, changes of light, the rhythm of the seasons, and the presence of nature enter the paintings not as scenery, but as a way of perceiving. The landscape becomes memory, a refuge, and a mirror of internal states.
