Calligraphy Workshop

Do you know how ancient books were created? How ink was prepared, what was used to write with, and how much patience was required to draw each letter?

We invite teenagers and adults on November 5, 2026 (Thursday) at 4:00 PM for a unique calligraphy workshop, where you can learn the secrets of beautiful writing and transport yourself into the world of ancient lettering. It is an opportunity to slow down, discover the art of careful letter formation, and try your hand at this extraordinary discipline.

The meeting will be led by Adam Scriptor Turczyn – a calligrapher, historical reenactor, and enthusiast of ancient writing. In his work, he brings closer the secrets of creating ancient books – from preparing parchment and making ink to writing with a goose quill.

Registration at the Library secretariat or by phone: 75 722 24 69.
