Burn your own button that took the world by storm: Pyrography with Pavel Zícha
Discover the uniqueness of our city in a fun way and take home a handmade decoration. In the final workshop of our series, we will focus on a tradition that made Jablonec famous all over the world – the legendary Jablonec button.
You will try your hand at burning traditional button patterns into wooden circles, which can serve as Christmas ornaments. There will also be an opportunity to create your own graphic art print.
The event is part of the year-round workshop series "Jablonec and its Phenomena" led by instructor Pavel Zícha.
The workshop is designed for artists big and small, from 9 to 99 years old. It takes place on Saturday, November 28th, in the attic of the Dům Jany a Josefa V. Scheybalových, from 9 AM to 5 PM in two-hour slots. The capacity for each slot is 15 people; advance reservation is required.

The creative workshop is organized by the Tourist Information Center in Jablonec nad Nisou (Kultura Jablonec, p. o.). Realized on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of Jablonec being elevated to a city as part of the “Jablonec and its Phenomena” project with the financial support of the Liberec Region.
